Dragonkind Results Explained
A field-by-field reference for the card you get after bonding — plus what the community has and has not learned from comparing results.
Dragonkind result cards shared by players include the dragon’s name, tail type, sex, age, color, and lineage. Your wing/section/squad assignment happens earlier and is useful for finding squadmates, but current testing has not shown that assignment reliably determines your dragon.
Result fields
| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Name | The generated name assigned to your bonded dragon |
| Color | One of the Dragonkind color families |
| Tail type | The dragon’s adult tail classification |
| Sex | The sex shown on the result card |
| Age | The dragon’s displayed age |
| Lineage | The lineage/family label attached to the dragon |
Are dragon names unique?
A community post relaying Rebecca Yarros’s launch information says about 135,000 dragon names are available. That does not mean every rider receives a globally unique name: players in the masterpost have already reported duplicate names across different people.
Large name pool, not guaranteed uniqueness
Treat the 135,000 figure as the available name pool described in the community’s Yarros Instagram recap, not as proof that names never repeat.
Does your assignment control your result?
One community mapper testing 30 unique accounts reported no observable assignment effect on decision success rate or the otherwise predictable route families. That is useful evidence, but it is still community testing rather than an official mechanic statement.
